This set-up will allow you to have working sleepy eyes for your probe, but unlike just being able to have them elevate to your specified height (once you turn your lights off they retract all the way down) with the switch, you can turn off your lights with them still sleepy, and not have them retract down, or turn the paddle switch to the off position and have normal headlamp operation. This is an easy mod that should take all of 1 hour to complete.
Materials needed:
Momentary switch.
Any type of on/off switch, with a three prong backing.
2 male connectors.
Roll of insulated wire.
Wire cutters.
Soldering gun/solder.
Small inline fuse.
Rigid wire/ metal rod
Now that you have the materials, let's get started by cutting 2 equal lengths of wire that will span the distance between the fuse box in the engine bay and what ever location you choose to place your switches inside the car. Next take one end of the wires and strip it down just enough to crimp a male connector to each one. You will be inserting them into the small fuse contact points that control the power to you headlamp motors as seen in picture below (don't do this yet, this will be the last step.)

Next you need to get these two wires into the interior of the car, I used a coat hanger taped to the wires to help push them down through the firewall hole my monster cable runs through. Contorting your body to ways only an experienced Porn Star should attempt, get under the inside dash with a flashlight to continue to pull the wires through. Run them neatly, and efficiently along the other wires already present, so as not to be seen or sag down. I placed my momentary and paddle switch in the centre console, so I removed the centre console, by means of gently pulling up on the 4 corners, popping the metal clip tabs to release the entire console around the stick and emergency brake. Having more room to manoeuvre, take the wires and guide them to the backside of the centre console, and pull them through to the front to where the stick is. Strip the wires and finger twist them to the specified points on the on/off switch and momentary as the picture below illustrates.

Those dam paddle switches don't have any way of telling if the position is on or off. You have to hook it up and then try it, figure out which way flipped is the ON and then mount it. So we don't want to solder anything yet. Notice the positioning and connection of the prong points as opposed to the wiring, and the outside prong that connects the both of them. This in turn will link the both together, your momentary acts as a split second contact (or as long as you hold down the button) gatekeeper to the power. Your paddle switch acts as a full time complete ON, or a complete OFF gatekeeper to the power. Finally… the moment of truth, return to the engine bay and being careful not to touch the two prongs, remove the small fuse and insert. Now, tiptoe back to the car and after praying to the electrical GODS of G&E, turn on your lights. NOW, if they do not go up, this is GOOD! They are on, you just can't see them, tap your momentary switch, watch them jump little by little to the top. Now, if they SHOOT all the way up to the normal position, that paddle switch is to the ON position. Flip it the other way, they will stay up, now turn OFF your lights, they will retract down to normal position. Turn on your lights again they should not come up. Hit your momentary to make them come up as desired. Now here is the WHOLE point of the paddle switch, turn OFF your lights and notice they do not retract down! It takes a little getting used to the ON and OFF of the paddle switch either allowing the juice to make the MOMENTARY work, but the end results are worth it. You now have normal working lights, as if you never altered them, and also the capability of the momentary sleepy effect to come into play, along with leaving them sleepy when the headlamps are turned off. If nothing of the sort has happened, check your connections, check that small inline fuse, and make sure the wire is not getting hot. If everything is cool, pull out your "SOLDER, I just gave myself a free branding, GUN from HELL", and solder all points together, tape up is you want to, install the switches to your position of choice, and go cruising to show off your new Mod!
